Montreal guitarist Steve Raegele, influenced by jazz, psychedelia, rock and roll, archaic pop music, and art music, plays both composed and improvised music. His 2010 recording, “Last Century,” on Songlines Recordings, received critical acclaim. Raegele has a notable association with drummers Thom Gossage and Isaiah Ceccarelli, and has shared the stage with key figures in Canada’s creative music community. In 2013, he was a featured soloist with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, performing Nicole Lizée’s “2012: Triple Concerto For Power Trio and Orchestra.” Raegele has collaborated with various artists, including John Hollenbeck, Drew Gress, Christine and Ingrid Jensen,L’Orchestre National de Jazz de Montreal, and indie rock legends The Dears.
