“FLY ME TO THE MOON” fundraiser

June 5th, 2008

FLY ME TO THE MOON was a star studded-fundraiser designed to benefit Women’s Health Initiatives at four Montreal hospitals.

The Directors were there to entertain.

Starlink Aviation, a 42,000 square foot private hangar in Dorval, Qc was the point of departure for this cosmic adventure. Hosted by ‘Captain’ BEN MULRONEY

and featuring an organizing committee of some of the city’s most creative and philanthropic business women, 400 plus ‘passengers’ were treated to international musical talent, a tableau of spectacular Badgley Mischka Couture gowns, and a universe of surprises!

This sexy chic event was designed to capitalize on the Grand Prix buzz and raise the bar for philanthropic endeavors.

As doors opened, “passengers” were amazed at the eye candy surrounding them.
Cirque de Soleil acrobatics in the air as a drum troupe (Zurumba) wailed beats.

Special guests were Disco Diva “Thelma Houston” !

Below are: Tony, Thelma Houston and Randi…

And if that weren’t enough, ever heard of the songs “Good Times” or “He’s the greatest dancer” or “We are family”?
Ladies and Gentleman, Sister Sledge!

And then to put the cheery on the cake, who else but Montreal’s own JONAS performed with his guitar player and The Directors were there to back him up.
Honestly? If you haven’t yet heard of Jonas…you will..he’s a rockstar!

An event like this doesn’t just happen on its own. There are many sponsors and planners who take part, who put their time and energy in to making it happen. Special mentions go out to Atmosp(here) Communications and Events,
Kloda Productions, Danielle Bitton, Bombardier, Java U catering, and numerous other sponsors.

The event truly was spectacular and probably the most grandiose of the entire year.
The Directors are proud and honored to have been a part of it.

Sincerely,

The Directors Showband.
